Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education provides opportunities to develop learning media that are more interactive, adaptive, and responsive to students’ needs. In Biology learning, which involves complex and abstract concepts, AI can support conceptual understanding, feedback, simulation, and student engagement. This study aims to analyze the types of AI utilized, the forms of interactive learning media developed, and the roles and benefits of AI in supporting Biology learning. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were obtained from Google Scholar using the search string "Artificial inteligensi" AND "hasil belajar" AND "media pembelajaran". A total of 160 articles were identified, 60 articles were screened based on their titles and abstracts, and 10 articles met the inclusion criteria after full-text assessment. The data were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive-narrative synthesis. The findings indicate that ChatGPT/generative AI was the most frequently utilized type of AI, followed by AI chatbots, AI tutors, and AI integrated with augmented reality and virtual laboratories. The developed media included chatbots, AI tutors, learning videos, interactive media, virtual laboratories, and socioscientific issue-based media. AI played roles in providing feedback, supporting conceptual understanding, improving thinking and science process skills, and promoting student engagement.
